A Twinkling Star is a boutique Entertainment and Party Planning Company. Our company specializes in children's birthday parties and special events. We serve the greater Los Angeles area and travel to your home or venue of choice. ATS can bring just the entertainment or plan the entire party from start to finish. Some of our popular parties include Glitter Glam Spa Party, Princess and the Frog Party, Dance Party, Toddler Music Party, Fresh Beat Band Party, Next Top Model Party, Theatre Parties, and much more. We can also customize parties to give your child exactly what they want. A Twinkling Star was founded by Chelsea Colwell actress/singer/teacher. Chelsea began acting and singing at the tender age of 10 starring as Young Nala in "The Lion King" at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. She was one of two Young Nalas in the history of the Broadway show to have her contract extended. While wanting to take a break from the theatre, Chelsea went on to book national commercials such as Post Cereal and Children's Hospital. Once she got her feet wet, she Guest Starred on the show Girlfriends on UPN and the W, and Co-Starred on shows such as Desperate Housewives, Judging Amy, The District, and Nickelodeon shows such as Just Jordan, and Ned's Declassified. While missing the theatre, she went on to play Duffy in "Annie" at the La Mirada Performing Arts Center and played Tashi in the New Musical "13" at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.A Note from the Owner/Founder Although I love performing, I found true joy in helping teach children the art of performing. I teach Musical Theatre, Acting, and Fairtytale Theatre in schools and recreation centers throughout Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Hawthorne, and Los Angeles. But most of all I love to see shy children come out of their shell and outgoing children strut their stuff, whether it be at a birthday party, vocal lesson, acting lesson, theater performance, or fashion show. I love to see your children enjoying the skills I have learned with years of experience and teaching. I believe public speaking skills and stage presence are the most important skills a person can have. Why? Because everyone will listen to what you have to say!
